The Royse City Independent School District, City of Royse City and Ventura Sports Group agreed upon a deal that will establish a professional independent baseball team and a $12 Million baseball/multi-purpose stadium in Royse City. The 4,000 plus seat stadium is to be located on the north side of I-30, east of FM 2642.
The venue will feature artificial turf, concert capabilities, locker rooms, umpire facilities, dugouts, bullpens and luxury suites. All Royse City High School home junior varsity and varsity baseball games will be held in the stadium when it is projected to open in the Spring of 2018.
The team will be part of the Southwest League of Professional Baseball and will play teams from across the state. A contest to select the team name was announced by Ventura Sports Group. Log onto www.tricountyprobaseball.com to submit potential team names. The winning submission will be awarded free season tickets for life.
