Vanessa was born and raised in Southern California, spent several years in San Francisco and headed to Texas in 2006. She worked as a Legal Assistant for over a decade doing Family Law and Criminal defense. She left the legal field for a bit to work for ANTHEM Strong Families as the office manager and also facilitated relationship workshops. She left Rockwall in 2013 to live out “every woman’s dream” to move to Maui, Hawaii. She met her now husband Daniel her very first day and a little over a year later they married on the beach the exact place they met. The following year they welcomed their son, Ezekiel. She worked full time as one of the top sales professionals for Tiffany and Co. for three years. Even with loving Maui and island living, they decided it was time to come back to the mainland in 2016. They put their trust in God and decided Texas was the place to be. They decided Royse City was the place to raise their son where he would grow up with the same kids in his class year after year and enjoy the local shops, restaurants and small-town feel. She is grateful and beyond blessed with the life God chose for her and is excited to be a part of the Royse City Chamber and community!
Chief Membership & Sustainability Officer
A proud resident of Royse City, Ashlee Burke worked for Rest Haven Funeral Home, before coming to the Chamber. Passionate about helping and volunteering, Ashlee has become very involved in the Royse City community.
Ashlee is involved in many groups around Royse City. She is one of the founding members of Luna Burke and Associates, a nonprofit that serves Royse City and provides weekend meals to RCISD children through the Paw Pack Program. Ashlee is proud to serve on the boards for the Royse City Education Foundation and the Royse City Rotary Club. She is very involved at her son’s school.
When Ashlee is not at work or volunteering, she is spending time with her family. She has been with her husband, Shane Burke, since 2005 and they have one amazingly thoughtful, compassionate and hilarious child, Braiden aka “B”.
