The Royse City Chamber luncheon held at Shenaniganz on September 15th was inspirational as well as educational.
Assistant Superintendent Kenny Kaye Hudson spoke about a new program they have implemented the NEPRIS program in the district which will benefit students of all ages as well as the businesses and individuals who support it. Jon Bailey, Executive Director of Rockwall County Helping Hands gave an excellent presentation on the many services they provide to the community. He also shared information about their new Capital Campaign which in 3 phases will increase the size of the food pantry and reception area, will allow more space for offices, expansion of the Thrift Store and its sales floor, and the expansion of the Health Center. Mr. Bailey said that if 1000 residents donated $20 they could reach their goal of $240,000 and never have to turn anyone away who is seeking financial help.
A Chamber plaque was also presented to new member Cindy Vest Photography. She can be found on Facebook.
