On December 14, 2018, We officially welcomed Wendy Johnson and her team with United Country Texas Landmark Real Estate. We also had the pleasure to share in the joy of the Grand Opening of the Bob Ellis Insurance Company at their new location off FM 35. We could not be happier for these two companies! You always feel like you are at home when walking in the door and in the presence of great friends!
On December 6, 2018 to a packed house we had a ribbon cutting for Milissa Martini and her team at Studio 122. They had a huge amount of gifts fir men, women, children. Clothing, accessories and different crafting classes are offered! We are lucky to have them here on in Royse City on Main Street!
On Thursday, October 11, 2018 we had the pleasure of officially welcoming Michael Holden and his team of Gage, Edder and Chris to the Royse City Chamber! These guys have only been on Main Street under a year but have already made a huge and lasting impact on Royse City! With their precise and impeccable work along with their giving hearts we are lucky to have them here! Make sure to stop by to get a cut or shave and feel as though you have walked back in time to the classic style of a true barbershop where everyone is family!
Nanette has been in banking for over 30 years. She started her career with American National Bank of Texas 20 years ago as a manager in an in-store location in Mesquite. She eventually became the Banking Center Manager for the Seagoville and Crandall locations. In 2012, she transferred to Royse City to be closer to home, which is in Trenton.
She has held numerous positions with Seagoville and Crandall’s Chambers and Lions Clubs. In Royse City, she has served on the Education Foundation Board, the Parks and Recreation Board, and the Woof-Stock Foundation Board. This will be her second term to be on the Royse City Chamber board and is looking forward to once again being active in the community.
Nanette grew up in the Dallas area. She has a daughter, son, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being involved with the children.
I grew up in Rockwall and graduated from Rockwall high school in 2007. I moved to Royse City and bought my first home in 2010. I am mom to two boys Jack 10, and Hunter 5 that attend school here in Royse City. I worked in retail management for 10 years before obtaining my Real Estate license and joining the Real Estate industry. I have worked for Historymaker homes for a little over a year and am so blessed to be a part of this Christian based company. I enjoy music, singing, dancing, and spending time with my family and friends.
We are happy to have Ms. Dawn Griffin McKee from GenCore Payment Services as our Royse City Chamber September Ambassador Spotlight!! She is a true gem and if you haven’t met her, you really need to do so! Here is a little about herself:
Dawn was raised in Garland and graduated from South Garland High School in 1991. She spent 28 years in the dental field, but her path led her to GenCore Payment Services in early 2017, where she now serves as the Vice President of Sales.
She is an Ambassador for both Royse City and Rockwall Chambers of Commerce and sits on the executive board for the Rockwall Professional Women’s Alliance. Dawn serves on several planning committees throughout the area, and loves being involved in the community.
She and her husband, William, moved to Royse City in 2007 and celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary in February, 2018. She is a proud mother to two boys; Grant, a Junior at Stephen F. Austin State University, and Grayson, a 5th grader at Ruth Cherry Intermediate School in Royse City.
Our Chamber Luncheon was bittersweet as we were honored to have as our speaker State Senator Bob Deuell, MD. His term in office will end in January, so you still have time to speak to him about any issues that are concerning you regarding the State of Texas.
We were also happy to present Chamber Plaques to 3 new members – Rockwall Rockwall Dodge Chrysler Jeep, FIT Lifestyle & Nutrition, and Joe’s Meat Market in downtown Royse City. Welcome to you all!
Thank you Austin Wells at the Royse City Herald Banner for the photos.
