It was a great pleasure meeting the team at Sprint The Customer Center today during their ribbon cutting. The number one goal of Sprint is to make the customer happy, and the staff is well equipped to do just that. Check them out at 604 W. I-30 in Royse City!
On September 25th we had a dual ribbon cutting with Luna Burke and Asso and Lawn Doctor. Less than a year ago Brandi Luna and Ashlee Burke got together and wanted to create something that helps children in the RCISD who are without food on the weekends. With their gentle hearts and giving souls they created a non-profit that has turned into something bigger then they imagined. Their first huge project is “Paw Packs” that right now serves the elementary aged children of the ISD. Each Thursday their team of volunteers gather to put together breakfast, lunch and dinner for each student in the program to get through the weekend into a “pack”. They are then delivered to the schools on Fridays. They serve anywhere from 50-60 children weekly! In addition, other needs have come up such as shoes, basic necessities, and bare essentials that they provide as needed. Which is why donating gift cards and/or other monetary means helps our Royse City children is so important. If they learn from the school counselors that a student has an older sibling in the home in with the middle school or high school they send additional food home for those children as well! Their belief is that no child in Royse City shall go hungry. They have also raised money for the Royse City Police Department and the New Hope Baptist church in an emergency situation. These ladies, their board members and team of volunteers are a true blessing to our community! Welcome to the Royse City Chamber!!
